Host Response

Rabbit Response

  • Vaccination Protocol: Rabbits were orally immunized by feeding 3 g of transgenic cucumber fruit expressing the CTB-ESAT-6-MPT-64 fusion protein on days 0, 7, and 14, with serum collected on day 21 for immunological analysis (Yadav et al., 2023).
  • Immune Response: Oral administration of transgenic cucumber expressing CTB-ESAT-6-MPT-64 induced a significant increase in antigen-specific serum IgG levels compared with rabbits fed non-transgenic cucumber, demonstrating effective immunogenicity of the fusion protein (Yadav et al., 2023).
