VIOLIN Vaccine Informatics and Resource Advisory Committee

Mission: To promote application of informatics technologies for vaccine research and create a centralized vaccine research data resource.

Dr. Victor DiRita, Professor, Department of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics, Michigan State University, East Lansing, MI 48824, USA. Research interests: Biology and pathogenicity of bacteria; Vibrio cholerae and Campylobacter jejuni pathogenesis.
Dr. Paul Kilgore, MPH, MD, Associate Professor, Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Wayne State University, 259 Mack Ave. Suite 2118, Detroit, MI 48201. Research interests: Reduction of disease burden associated with bacterial and viral infections.
Dr. Shan Lu, Professor, University of Massachusetts Medical School. Research interest: Infectious Diseases and Immunology, DNA vaccine, HIV vaccine development.

Members inside the University of Michigan:

Dr. Gil Omenn, Center for Computational Medicine and Biology, Department of Human Genetics. Research interests: Human genomics, proteomics, and cancer research.
Dr. James Koopman, Department of Epidemiology, School of Public Health. Research interests: infectious disease transmission system modeling.
Dr. Zhenhua Yang, Department of Epidemiology, School of Public Health. Research interests: Mycobacterium tuberculosis research.
