VaxFund: Vaccine Fundings

VaxFund facilitates search and application of grants and funding for vaccine R & D. We collect a list of federal agents and foundations that provide vaccine R & D funding opportunities. We also welcome everyone to contact us and provide relative funding information. We will then post the information in this website.

Governmental Funding Opportunities:

  • NIH-NIAID
Description: The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) at the USA NIH provides various levels of grants and contracts for vaccine research and development.

Foundation Funding Opportunities:

  • Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation
Description: The foundation's global health mission is guided by the belief that every life, no matter where it is lived, has equal value. The grantmaking is driven by the unprecedented opportunities in science and technology to transform health throughout the world, and by the urgent need to ensure access to effective health interventions. Most funding opportunities are available through requests for proposal (RFP) only.
  • GAVI Alliance
Description: The GAVI Alliance delivers predictable, long-term financial and material support to the world's poorest countries to extend the reach and effectiveness of their immunisation programmes. Its key objectives are to increase access to new and underused vaccines and to help ensure the long-term sustainability of national efforts to control or eradicate diseases that cause high child mortality.
