Vaccine Detail

B. abortus GAPDH DNA vaccine with IL-12 adjuvant
Vaccine Information
  • Vaccine Name: B. abortus GAPDH DNA vaccine with IL-12 adjuvant
  • Target Pathogen: Brucella spp.
  • Target Disease: Brucellosis
  • Type: DNA vaccine
  • Status: Research
  • Host Species for Licensed Use: Mouse
  • Preparation: The B. abortus vaccine uses GAPDH with IL-12 adjuvant.(Rosinha et al., 2002b)
  • Immunization Route: Intramuscular injection (i.m.)
  • Description: In response to in-vitro stimulation by rGAPDH, splenocytes from mice vaccinated with rGAPDH or B. abortus S19 were able to produce gamma-interferon and tumour necrosis factor-a but not interleukin (IL)-4. Furthermore, the DNA vaccine partially protected mice against experimental infection.(Rosinha et al., 2002b)
