B. abortus GAPDH DNA vaccine with IL-12 adjuvant |
| Vaccine Information |
- Vaccine Name: B. abortus GAPDH DNA vaccine with IL-12 adjuvant
- Target Pathogen: Brucella spp.
- Target Disease: Brucellosis
- Type: DNA vaccine
- Status: Research
- Host Species for Licensed Use: Mouse
- Preparation: The B. abortus vaccine uses GAPDH with IL-12 adjuvant.(Rosinha et al., 2002b)
- Immunization Route: Intramuscular injection (i.m.)
- Description: In response to in-vitro stimulation by rGAPDH, splenocytes from mice vaccinated with rGAPDH or B. abortus S19 were able to produce gamma-interferon and tumour necrosis factor-a but not interleukin (IL)-4. Furthermore, the DNA vaccine partially protected mice against experimental infection.(Rosinha et al., 2002b)
