  • Vaccination Protocol: Mice were vaccinated intravenously with LJM11 (Abi et al., 2014).
  • Vaccine Immune Response Type: VO_0003057
  • Challenge Protocol: Mice were intradermally challenged with Leishmania major and sand fly saliva (Abi et al., 2014).
  • Efficacy: Mice were best protected when vaccinated intravenously. However, this protection was short-lived. Importantly, groups of vaccinated mice were protected long term when challenged with infected sand flies (Abi et al., 2014).
