Host Response

Chicken Response

  • Vaccine Immune Response Type: VO_0000286
  • Immune Response: A significant increase in serum antibody levels was observed in chickens vaccinated with divalent combination. Additionally, the lymphocyte proliferation (SI value) and the levels of IFN-γ were both higher in chickens immunized with divalent combination than in those vaccinated with monovalent DNA vaccines (P<0.05) (Gong et al., 2013).
  • Efficacy: The protection provided by divalent combination vaccine was superior to that provided by monovalent DNA vaccines after challenging with the avian P. multocida strain CVCC474 (Gong et al., 2013).
